Spotify Playlist Curator Website + Logo

For this personal design project, I was asked by two brothers to create not only multiple mockup pages for a Spotify based website that they would later code, but also an original logo that would tie into the theme of the website and the brand they were working with.

First, I did extensive research on the Spotify user interfaces so that the website would appear familiar and friendly. To do so, I used the iconic Spotify color scheme of green, white, and dark gray and stuck to a modern and sleek design hierarchy that reflected the traits of the original brand. It is safe to say that my research on the Spotify brand aided my creative process as well and informed my choice in colors and layout. The constraint in color and mood focused my design in order to create visual unity throughout the website pages, and ultimately within the logo. The result shows evidence of proficiency in understanding of design hierarchy and knowledge of the original branding and theme.

This project provided a fantastic opportunity to practice UX/UI website designs on Adobe Illustrator while focusing on a very specific color scheme and modern layout that would appear similar to that of Spotify while adding details that were unique to the functionality of Song Sorter. This project also allowed me to practice in creating a coherent and seamless visual style throughout multiple content pages as one navigates the website, but also tie everything together with a logo that reflects the modernity and features of the musical tool.
